Hi all!

Ayer recibí el numero especial de la revista Hobbyworld dedicado a ciencia ficcion / star wars / fantasia de los awards 2016. Entre sus paginas se encuentra un articulo dedicado a mi TAU de 56mm que pinte el año pasado.
Yesterday I received the special number of Hobbyworld magazine about scify / star wars / fantasy of the 2016 awards. Inside its pages there is an article about my 56mm TAU painted last year.

MV's Jar's Beginners Class Madrid

Este fin de semana ha tenido lugar en Madrid el curso impartido por Roman Lappat, denominado "MV's Jar's Beginners Class" al cual he tenido la suerte de asistir. El curso de unas 30 horas de duracion en 3 dias incluye todos los aspectos de la creacion de escenas con miniaturas. Desde la creacion de la peana, composicion, teoria de color, montaje de figuras, iluminacion, contraste, ambientacion.... El curso fue organizado por Fantastic Courses en las instalaciones de BigChild. Un proyector para las presentaciones y una cámara para ver claramente todo lo que hacia el profesor fueron de gran ayuda y utilidad.
This weekend has taken place in Madrid the painting course by Roman Lappat, called "MV's Jar's Beginners Class" which I would lucky to assist. The course is about 30 hours in 3 days and it includes all the aspects of miniature scene creation. From the creation of the base, composition, color theory, miniature mount, lights, contrast, ambientance.... The course was organized by Fantastic Courses at BigChild. A big projector for the presentations and a camera to see perfectly all that Roman did were very useful.

CCCP Space Hero

Hace unos meses salió al mercado un busto genial de Raffaele Picca llamado "Major Tom". Un pequeño busto de un astronauta con muchas opciones de montaje y facil pintado. La version de Raffaele era la version Americana y se me ocurrio hacer una version Rusa de la antigua CCCP. Espero que os guste mi version! Some months ago, "Major Tom" by Raffaele Picca arrives to the shops. A little bust of a spaceman with a lot of setting options and easy to paint. The Raffaele version was the american style and I thought to do a russian version of the old CCCP. We hope you like the result!

Bijou

Peana Marmol verde / Green marble base

Aprovechando el pintado de una figura de 75mm hemos creado un pequeño tutorial de como crear una superficie de marmol verde. Ademas añadiremos otros detalles para ambientar la peana en una jungla. Taking advantage of the painting of a 75mm miniature we have created a little tutorial about painting green marble. Also we will add some jungle elements to the base.

Recientemente Games Workshop ha sacado su juego de Silver Tower y con él, un interesante pack de 4 figuras llamado Mighty Heroes donde podemos encontrar un Mago de Tzeentch que vamos a pintar siguiendo el mismo esquema que Games Workshop. Esperamos que os guste el resultado! Recently Games Workshop has released their game Silver Tower and with it, a very interesting pack of 4 figures called Mighty Heroes where we can find a Tzeentch Sorcerer that we will paint following the same schema that uses Games Workshop. En nuestro blog hablaremos del pintado de miniaturas y usaremos términos y palabras que pueden sonar a chino a la gente que esta empezando. Es por eso que aquí tenéis un pequeño repaso de los conceptos básicos que utilizamos:
In our blog we will talk about painting miniatures and we will use some words and terms that can be unknown for beginners. That's why here you are a short summary of the basic concepts that we use:

Paleta Húmeda / Wet Pallete

Casi todos los pintores de miniaturas que utilizan colores acrílicos también utilizan paleta húmeda. Es una de las primeras cosas que debemos aprender para facilitarnos el trabajo y tener un acabado mas profesional ya que nos permite mantener mas tiempo la pintura diluida (la pintura puede tardar en secarse varios días). Esto nos permite ahorrar pintura y reutilizar colores de sesiones de trabajo anteriores. Almost all the painters of miniatures that uses acrylic paints also uses the wet pallete. Is one of the first things that we should learn to help us painting and to have a professional finish because it allow us to maintain the paint wet more time (the paint can be wet for days). This save up us paint and allow us to reuse mixes from previous painting sessions.
