Paleta Húmeda / Wet Pallete

Casi todos los pintores de miniaturas que utilizan colores acrílicos también utilizan paleta húmeda. Es una de las primeras cosas que debemos aprender para facilitarnos el trabajo y tener un acabado mas profesional ya que nos permite mantener mas tiempo la pintura diluida (la pintura puede tardar en secarse varios días). Esto nos permite ahorrar pintura y reutilizar colores de sesiones de trabajo anteriores. Almost all the painters of miniatures that uses acrylic paints also uses the wet pallete. Is one of the first things that we should learn to help us painting and to have a professional finish because it allow us to maintain the paint wet more time (the paint can be wet for days). This save up us paint and allow us to reuse mixes from previous painting sessions.

Para montar una paleta húmeda necesitaremos los siguientes elementos:
- Una caja o recipiente que contendrá la paleta (preferiblemente que tenga tapa).
- Papel de horno.
- Una bayeta o papel de cocina para la base.
- Agua.
For mounting a wet palette we will need the following elements:
- A box or a tray (is better if it has a cover).
- Oven paper.
- Paper or baize to the base.
- Water.



Tomamos la bayeta o papel de cocina y lo colocamos en la bandeja. Aplicamos agua hasta que quede bastante empapada. Entonces encima de la bayeta colocamos el papel de horno evitando que se levanten los bordes. El papel debe quedar totalmente pegado a la bayeta, sino es asi, es porque no hemos mojado suficientemente la bayeta.
We take the baize or the paper and we put it over the tray. we apply water until the baize or the paper is very wet. Then we put the oven paper over the baize avoiding that the edges rises. The oven paper should sticks entirely to the baize / paper base. If it doesn't stick to the base is because the baize is too dry.



Ya tenemos lista la paleta para usarla. Aplicamos los colores sobre el papel de horno y lo diluimos encima. Cuando terminemos la sesion de pintura, podemos taparla y en la proxima sesion la pintura seguirá liquida.
Now the pallete is ready to be used. Apply the colours over the oven paper and water them. After the painting session, we can cover it with the top and the paintings will be ready for use in next session.
